- Simply unzip the underside of the topper and pull the topper off the metal bars.
- Put topper in washing machine with a detergent mild enough for baby's sensitive skin
- Topper can be tumbled dry on a medium heat for about 10 minutes, or air dry
- If topper becomes stained, fill your washing machine with water, and add a Ā½ cup of bleach in the washing machine prior to placing the topper in for washing. Let the topper soak for 10 to 15 minutes and complete the wash cycle
- Base can be wiped down using a damp cloth and mild soap to disinfect

Best Mattress Ever. There is a lot of positive things to say about SafeSleep mattresses, but the number one thing is that these mattresses are truly 100% breathable (parent tested). Regardless of the filling in the mattress, there are no other mattresses on the market (that I could find) that are truly 100% breathable, and with a baby that rolls on his face while sleeping you can’t ask for anything better! In addition to the mattress, the customer service is truly remarkable! I originally bought one of these mattresses in 2016 when I had my first daughter and we absolutely loved it and felt so much better putting my baby to sleep at night. She always rolled to her belly or her side very early on. We just had our second baby a few months ago and the product held up great through storage. We did buy an additional topper to have as a back up. Again we absolutely love it. My baby this time will roll over and put her face straight down into the mattress, and I donāt have to worry. I will go adjust her just because but itās nice to have the peace of mind that this mattress is so safe and she literally breathes right through it.

I love the ease and peace of mind of my safesleep crib. I have the crib frame in espresso, an off white topper, and the teal topper now. I switch them once a month or as spit up/blow outs occur. I feel like it’s MUCH easier having the topper and not having to worry about the mattress, the mattress pad, the sheets, etc etc etc. When my daughter came home she had spent 111 days in the NICU and was still really prone to sleeping on her stomach. This completely breathe through mattress topper help w/ our anxiety about that. She’s turning 2 next month and she still sleeps on this mattress frame and topper. It fits a standard size crib, and we got one that converts to a toddler bed, I foresee her using it until she literally gets too tall.

Peace of Mind
We were surprised when we received this product. Itās more like a cot than a mattress, and very well constructed and thoughtfully engineered. The mattress toppers are really great, and come in several colors. Our five month old grandchild had outgrown swaddling and started sleeping with his face straight down. When I did the research and read the reviews for this product I was so thrilled there was something out there specifically for this problem. With the scare of SIDS ever present in my daughters mind, it was a way we could help provide peace of mind for her and her husband. We love that itās a small company and that the products are made in America. Itās also flat packed with minimal excess material which appealed to us. Hereās the other great thing: Their customer service is top notch. They honor their trial period and money back guarantee. Our touchy, āpickyā grandson didnāt take to the mattress as weād hoped and we packed it and sent it back. But this didnāt dampen our enthusiasm for this product! I would highly recommend it to anyone. Perhaps if we had purchased it before he was five months old, when he first graduated from his bassinet, he would have taken to it better. It really is a brilliant design. Another plus: The mattress breaks down and can be stored in its original box for the next child. It doesnāt take up space like a standard crib mattress would. We purchased the navy topper for our grandson and it looked very chic in his room.

Peace of mind.

We love our mattress! Our 2-month-old started sleeping 7 hours straight at night when we started using the safesleep mattress. The topper is super easy to wash, and it’s truly breathable. I put my face flat down on it, and I could breathe with out any issues. Our baby also spits up a lot. So I love the fact all the liquid drains to the bottom. Amazing idea and product. I love how easy it is to clean. You can put the topper in the washing machine and wipe any mess off the base. On a regular mattress, my son would wake up wet and sweaty, this mattress allows for more airflow and he doesn’t wake up a sweaty mess. I wish we had this mattress with our oldest. It helps everyone in our family sleep better.

Soft and durable material The topper is firm enough to sit a glass of water on it. Yet it still has just enough give to provide a cushion feel. It did require some assembly, but it was worth it. The simple design makes it easy to navigate, and the materials seem really durable. The topper is a bit tight, but manageable in removing it for washing. The perimeter ācushionā of is also 100% breathable. The product in its entirety is easily washable.

Putting it together was a little confusing with the spring insertion and they need to update the directions, but overall it was the best purchase Iāve made for my child and my anxiety. Once my baby girl started to roll over I realized she is a face planter – I was up all night staring at her and rolling her back over on her back which would make her just scream and cry. After nights of researching I am so happy I found this mattress! I can wholeheartedly say that this mattress helps ME sleep better knowing my baby can breathe face down. Yes, it’s slightly pricy but worth every single penny knowing my baby is safe and it’s no more expensive than other mattresses that claim you can breathe through them. I really like the product overall. The cleaning process is very convenient and I like that I don’t need sheets. It did take about 20 minutes to assemble it and get it into our crib which wasn’t that bad. The instructions are easy to follow.
