What makes the SafeSleep® the #1 pediatrician recommended crib mattress is the revolutionary  Breathe-Through Crib Mattress design.  It’s not what we put in our mattress, rather all the things we left out.  We left out toxic chemicals, latex, glues, adhesives, foam, polymers, fire retardants, waterproofing chemicals, viscose, vinyl, silica, nano-coatings, allergens, and any fill material or core.  All that is left inside is fresh, oxygen. 

In fact, SafeSleep® is the only crib mattress pediatricians and respiratory therapists write prescriptions for infants who must tummy sleep for health reasons.

We made it machine washable without the need to remove it from the crib.  Why?  We don’t believe a baby’s crib mattress belongs in a microbial and pathogen filled bathroom – ever.  

We  also made washing quick and easy.  We know parents don’t have time to wash their crib mattress in a bathtub or shower every time their baby spits up or has a leak.  Not to mention, wait 2 to 6 hours for their mattress to dry.  

We didn’t make the SafeSleep® crib mattress waterproof.  Instead, we made it wick away liquids from a sleeping baby.  Pooled liquids on a crib mattress can be dangerous. Babies can re-inhale their spit up.  The reason we could make it non-waterproof is simple!  There is no fill or core to become contaminated, or trap pathogens, mold, other fungi, or dust mites.

Also, by removing the waterproofing components used by other crib mattress manufacturers, we reduce the risk of overheating.  Most waterproofing covers and chemicals do not allow heat and moisture to evaporate.  Instead, it causes heat and moisture to build up.  The absence of waterproofing chemicals and layers promotes a stable core body temperature for optimal comfort and longer, better sleep.
